We are pressured in every way [hedged in], but not crushed; perplexed [unsure of finding a way out], but not driven to despair;  hunted down and persecuted, but not deserted [to stand alone]; struck down, but never destroyed;” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (AMP)

Life is full of challenges and attacks of the enemy in ways that, at times, we cannot comprehend without the help of the Holy Spirit. We live in a world with many variables that make the future look so bleak and unpredictable; financial hardship, unemployment, sickness, broken relationships, children’s behaviour, world economies, trade wars, unstable government in various parts of the world, leaders of nations under pressure to make decisions that impact our lives, unpredictable government postures arising, we have USA-North Korea, UK- EU Brexit, USA-G7. All these situations make stable future look very distant, if you rely on the world order.

Though we may be pressured in every way, but we will not be crushed, the situations around us may appear so complex and confusing, but we must not despair because the scripture tells us that, we are loved by God, and nothing can separate us from His love. Romans 8:35 says “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?” None of these or any challenging situation can, because Romans 8:37-39 says “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”

When Jerusalem was besieged by Sennacherib and the Assyrian Armies, King Hezekiah and the leaders were under pressure and the people were in dire straits. Hezekiah knew the situation was critical and he knew the situation was more than military, political or economic as it may appear in the natural, but he knew it was a spiritual matter that requires spiritual response. The situation was also a direct attack on the Lord almighty and His reputation, 2 Kings 19:19 told us that Hezekiah called on the Lord to deliver his people. He got a resounding response from the Lord, when he put the Lord in charge.

Whatever you may be going through today, though it appears in many forms in the natural, they are all spiritual matters, give them all to God. Let Go and Let God be God. He is God over and above impossibilities. You will not be deserted, left alone to fight the battle, He will shed light on the next step and give you wisdom and clarity. He has promised in Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”.

Through It all, we are more than conquerors.
