For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV)

As believers you and I have the mind of Christ, that is the ability through the Holy Spirit to think like Christ and then to conduct our lives according to His mind. One mind is so important in our relationships as over and over again, the Holy Spirit through Paul encourages us to be of the same mind one toward another (Romans 12:16); to be of one mind (2 Cor 13:11); to be likeminded and of one accord, of one mind (Phil. 2:2) and to all be of one mind (1 Peter 3:8). One mind is so important as this enables us to pull together in unity in the same direction which is why I particularly love Romans 15:6 which says, ‘that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God.’

Some of us would have experienced some very frustrating conversations where we are talking to someone with whom we cannot seem to agree. Our mind over the matter is so far apart that there is no unity and there is no pulling together or supporting one another to go strongly in the same direction. Not only can this be extremely frustrating, it also causes delays, discontent and sometimes has the potential to kill ideas and dreams.

So can you imagine if in our relationship with Christ we don’t allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the mind of Christ to us, and he does this through the word and as we meditate on the word of God listening with our hearts for His wisdom, guidance and direction. It may take some time just being in His presence seeking Him out, but a word from God will turn our lives the right way round. The mind of Christ is knowing the will of Christ concerning all things which is why the battle for our lives and destinies mostly takes place in our minds. Once our minds get it our bodies will follow!

You and I have the mind of Christ because His Spirit is in us. Romans 8:9 says, “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.” So I want to encourage you to tap into the mind of Christ today for all things and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you. Once you know the mind of Christ and become of One mind with Him, His mind will always prevail for you. Knowing this means I can boldly declare in any situation that the mind of Christ in me prevails over all things establishing victory for me in Jesus Name.

You have the mind of Christ, I have the mind of Christ, we have the mind of Christ because His Spirit is in us! Confess it boldly because it is the truth!
